| Posted about 1 month ago Hi Francis, I don't know about being an expert, but I know how women in rural America feel. It's quite different than being in the city, and I have been in both. It's hard to get women who have lived in the rural areas all of their lives to get out of their comfort zone. I was once a person who didn't mind that, but as I am getting older, it is getting more difficult. Without the opportunities, I seem to give up. I"m hoping that if I get my book published, it will allow me to branch out a little more. What are some of your ideas? Nanikj AKA Karen |

| Posted about 1 month ago Francis, My family is from a rural area and though I've been out of the Great Plains for a while, I would agree with Nanikj that women in rural America are often afraid to take risks and as a result, likely don't reach their highest potential. That's why I think a lot of people from rural areas in the country hardly ever leave the state they were brought up in (often not even the town or city!). What kind of development with women in rural areas are you looking to do? Career development? Personal development? |
